Choosing A Christian Path

It doesn’t matter if we were born into Christianity, or discovered it later in life. Many of us have faced the same question: Which denomination is correct? The differences between Catholics, Orthodox Christians, Christians and other traditions can seem overwhelming. Each group has its own history, practices, and interpretations of Scripture. Yet when we step back and look closely, we also find something remarkable that unites us more than it divides us — Jesus Christ (Yeshua).

Despite disagreements about church authority and traditions, we share the same foundational story of the Israelite God (YHWH) — the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob —  and his beloved son Jesus Christ (John 3:16).

For anyone seeking Christ, remember this: “These people honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me. And in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:8-9).

Which means we are simply called to love our Lord and put our trust and faith in Him with all our hearts.  Jesus Himself warned against becoming lost in human traditions while forgetting what truly matters (Matthew 6,15, 23, 7, 9 & Mark 7, 2, 12). He taught that the greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself. Faith, at its deepest level, is not about performance or power — it is about the condition of the heart.

So the question isn’t which denomination is right. It’s whether or not we are sincerely seeking the truth and drawing closer to the Father. Because in the end, this journey of faith is not about choosing the winning category. It is about the heart, and how far we are willing to go to return home to our Father who created us in his perfect image (Genesis 1:26).

I hope this post finds you well, peace be with you brothers and sisters. God bless you
